Day 12: Shiraz & Galat Village
Shiraz is often called the city of poets, literature and gardens, but what many travellers remember most is the people. Locals are warm, welcoming and unhurried, and it’s a place that’s easy to settle into – as you’ll soon discover for yourself!
It’s less than an hour’s drive into the countryside this morning, to the mountain village of Galat. Enjoy lunch after exploring the ancient village with its ruined stone houses. Then, take a deep breath of that country air, and walk off lunch with a short hike to one of Galat’s nearby waterfalls.
Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Accommodation: Karim Khan Hotel (or similar), Shiraz

DAY 13: Firuzabad & The Pink Lake
Over the centuries, Firuzabad has been shaped by both conquerors and dreamers, leaving a site that has evolved again and again. Today, you’ll get a sense of that long history as you wander across its heritage-listed plain – especially when you stand in front of the Palace of Ardashir and take in its massive entrance, built almost 2,000 years ago.
After a local lunch, you’ll circle back via ‘the pink lake’ to explore its salt-crusted shores. Dinner tonight will be at another of our favourite restaurants back in Shiraz.
Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Accommodation: Karim Khan Hotel (or similar), Shiraz

DAY 14: Pottery & Shiraz Farewells
Roll up your sleeves – it’s time to get your hands dirty! For this morning, you’ll join one of Shiraz’s pottery artisans for your very own masterclass.
Potters are revered in Iran and symbolically referenced in poetry and literature. Today you’ll learn how the craftsmen’s innovative attitude enabled the craft to not only survive but flourish in times of political turmoil.
In the afternoon, there’ll be time enough to pop down to the bazaar for some last-minute shopping. And oh, that last fabulous Persian dinner is booked in too!
Included: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Accommodation: Karim Khan Hotel (or similar), Shiraz

DAY 15: See You Next Time, Friends
It’s time to say farewell to your guide and Iran today. There will be hugs and a tear or two, for sure. You’ll be transferred to the airport in time for your departure.
Included: Breakfast
