Our newest adventure travel brand just landed...in North America!

There’s nothing more exciting than embarking on a new adventure, which is why we’ve just launched Harriet Adventures – our new solo women’s adventure travel brand… in North America!

North American women told us they wanted the same travel experiences that our Aussie and Kiwi guests love!

Sounds like a big step, right?

It is!

But we didn’t have to think too hard about it really…

Our parent company, Leatherback Travel, has been running women’s only cultural adventures successfully for years through our sister travel brand, Patch Adventures.

All it took, was for us to see that more and more +45-year-old US and Canadian women were reaching out, wanting those same kinds of experiences too! Every phone call we had sounded strangely familiar. These women told us that:

  • Big bus tourism just wasn’t their thing – smaller suited them better
  • They wanted to really experience a destination, not just scratch the surface
  • They wanted grittier, off-the-beaten path adventures too – not run-of-the-mill tourist trails
  • Spending time with like-minded women and making new friendships was important to them

We took this feedback and paired it with two major milestones we hit last year – becoming Australia’s fastest growing travel company and having our best year ever for guest satisfaction. It was the ‘light bulb’ moment that led to our, ‘Let’s go for it!’ moment.

Enter, Harriet Adventures!

It’s super exciting right? And, who knows what other incredible opportunities that branching into North America might bring?

We can’t wait to find out.

So, are you curious to know which off-the-beaten-path destinations our US and Canadian guests will get to experience first?

Why, a few of our favourites of course – India, Vietnam and Uzbekistan!

And that’s just for starters.

If you have female friends in North America that you know would LOVE to join a group of like-minded solo women travellers on the kind of cultural adventures we’re known for, please tell them Harriet Adventures has arrived!
